Games, Ticket Giveaway plus Alice Breaks Box Office Records

Now that Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland 2010 is out, the next battlefield is video games. As we've noted before, Disney Interactive has created Alice in Wonderland games for the Wii, DS, and PC (get them here). Here is an interview with Tim Burton about the Alice games and his level of involvement with them.

Readers in the San Francisco Bay area will be interested in this giveaway for Alice in Wonderland tickets plus some kind of points they call "$Karma" points (if you know what these are please let us know in the comments!).

Over the weekend Alice in Wonderland 2010 brought in over $116 US. Here's an article that discusses these numbers as compared to previous films by Burton and Depp. ABC Family has acquired rights to the movie, which it looks like makes it so they will be the first to show it in 2012. That's a long wait!

Got my Tickets! I'm Ready for My Very Important Date

Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland starts next week! I got my tickets (for a very special guest and me) already via Fandango. I don't usually get tickets this far in advance, but at the same time, I didn't want to miss it on the first night. There is a small extra charge, but it isn't as eye-popping as some other ticket vendors I could name, which I think are a rip-off, and it saves you from standing in line the night of the show. Disney Unable to Reach Deal With Odeon Cinemas

I know I know - I declared that I wouldn't watch any more video about Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, but here are Matt Lucas (Tweedledum and Tweedledee) and Michael Sheen (the White Rabbit) talking about their roles at a news conference. Via

The BBC is reporting that Odeon Cinemas in the UK will not be screening Alice in Wonderland due to a disagreement over when the DVDs will be released. (It does look like Cineworld cinemas and The Vue chain will show the movie.)
