Alice in Costumeland and Legoland

Kind of late on the draw with this one. It's Colleen Atwood, the costume designer for Alice in Wonderland, talking about a bunch of the costumes from the movie.

 Tommy Williamson (a.k.a. GeekyTom) works for CafeFX as an effects artist where he worked on turning Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland into a 3D movie. After the wrap, Tommy built some of the characters from the movie out of LEGO bricks. Via

Like the last one I'm asking everybody to do a little something. This time to enter, write about a memory you have about Alice in Wonderland - either about one of the movies or a book. I have this memory of seeing the 1951 Disney movie and thinking that the talking flowers were really cool. I also remember the Tea Party where the Hatter and March Hare yell "No Room! No Room!"

Alice Tonner Dolls are Coming

Here is the first of the Alice in Wonderland Tonner Dolls. There are more expected, but they won't be out until March. The good news is that they can be pre-ordered. Here is Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Red Queen, and the White Queen.

Alice in Wonderland Collectors Medicom Action Figures

We have here the first "toys" I've seen attached to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland 2010. What we have here is figures of Alice (Mia Wasikowska) and the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp). (Wow, I can finally spell Wasikowska without look it up. That took longer than I expected.) As you can see, it looks like we've got two different versions of the Hatter available. There's the $20 version and the $170 version. Alas, these are expected in July 2010, but can be pre-ordered now.

Correction on McGee's Return Trailer and News on the Soundtrack

First off, on Monday, I posted a trailer that was purported to be the new American McGee's Alice Returns trailer. American McGee posted on his blog that this is not the case. Sorry about that everyone. At the very least, I think American McGee's should check into hiring the guy who created it. He did a good job!

Next, a band named "All Time Low" will be supplying a track on the Alice 2010 Soundtrack. Anybody know anything about them?

Lots of New Alice Gear and Art

It's really amazing when I can report something relevant to the Tim Burton move, Alice 2010, and today I have something to report. Not that I'm excited. It's a little hard to get very excited about nail polish. A while back I reported here that Disney is working with designers and manufacturers to come out with a slew of Alice in Wonderland 2010 related products. It looks like the first of the bunch will be OPI nail polish. OPI Nail Polish on Amazon Via.

 Not related to the Tim Burton film - well KIND OF not related. Seeing as how 2010 will be the year of Alice. Mezco is accepting pre-orders for some Living Dead Dolls In Wonderland toys. Click here for Mezco Toys on Amazon.

Go Ask Alice Doll and Plush Art Show

Paul Cumes Fine Art Gallery in Santa Barbara is having an art show with an Alice in Wonderland Theme. The show starts Friday December 5th and is open through January 7, 2010. As the title would suggest the show will be full of Alice in Wonderland inspired dolls and plushes. Here is a full press release.

There is enough Alice in Wonderland art at this site to keep anyone occupied for hours. There is the inevitable Sir John Tenniel, but in addition there is fan art, photography, art from American McGee's Alice, and some NSFW art as well. Some real quickies:

Not sure what this is. It's a comic book adaption of some sort: John Cassaday's "The Complete Alice In Wonderland" with a cover on which Alice looks kind of like a 16 year old boy.


Last, and most importantly, this woman, Melinda Foster of Rawtenstall, won a national cupcake contest in the U.K. with her Alice in Wonderland themed cupcakes. The winning cupcake? The White Rabbit. Awesome!
